Straight up!
January 3, 2008 ...by VLK
Part of fo-ot spent last days of the past year in the mountains Beskydy.
As snow conditions weren't perfect for xc-skiing
we decided to cross the mountains on foot too. The photos are from the most remarkable training. We climbed the highest peak in Beskydy first,
Lysa Hora with altitude of 1323m above sea level. However it meant 890 meters of climbing it was just a warm-up for us. The view was beautiful
there but the strong wind drove us down towards a new challenge. The second mountain on the way was Travny with 1203 meters of altitude.
We chose to climb it by a direct route, without paths, in the snow, exclusive 1,8km with 650m climbing... Overall time of this endurance work-out
was 3hours 40minutes.
