Location
The city of Zlin is situated in the south-east of the Czech Republic and it has 80 thousand inhabitants. The landscape is hilly with the altitude from 200m to 800m. Great part of the region is forested so it offers good possibilities for orienteering.

There are four international airports within reach. The Prague airport is 300km from Zlin, with a good bus and train connection. The closest is the Brno airport which is just 100km away but only Ryanair operates there one flight a day to London. Another possibility is the Bratislava airport with a variety of low-cost flights. It is 150km from Zlin and there are several trains and busses to Zlin every day. The last option is the Vienna airport. Although it is 200km away the train connection to Zlin can be the fastest if there is a train in a suitable time.

From north-west direction there is a highway D1 going close to Zlin, ending 40km from the town. Then main roads 47 and 55 should be followed. Finaly there is a main road number 49 leading to Zlin. Driving time from Prague is 3.5 hours, from Vienna 3.5 hours, from Bratislava 2.5 hours. A map of the Czech Republic can be found here.
There are many international bus links to Prague and Brno. The two biggest companies are Eurolines and Student Agency. There are several direct busses and trains to Zlin from Prague and Brno every day.
There is a fast-train station in the city of Otrokovice which is located only 10km from Zlin.
